The proof is in the pudding, and I have been waiting for more than a taste of Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay. Today, we have a demo of almost 48 minutes of solid action and conversations from a “work in progress” version of the game. They have added a disclaimer that everything could change, but it’s nice to see anything from this hotly anticipated game.
If you just left the bunker for the first time in a few years, Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt Red’s first title after The Witcher 3. It’s been in development for more than five years, but we have promises of a huge open world, strong narrative, and player driven conversations and choices with sexy graphics to match.
If you have read this far without your eyes going directly to the gameplay, we still don’t have a release date. CD Projekt Red is not looking to rush the game, and, with so much hype riding on this release, they need to take all the time in the world to make it right. I suspect this one will wind up on the PS5 and PS4, but I don’t know anymore than you.
If you’ll excuse me, I want to get back to watching that sweet gameplay.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
