L.A. Noire was Rockstar’s trip back to the late 1940s with fancy facial tech to judge when someone was lying, long-legged dames, and enough hardboiled cops to make more than a passing tribute to the works of Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler.
They released a new trailer today in 4K Ultra HD, and it will show you why you should jump back into the seedy city of L.A. and into the shoes of Cole Phelps, a detective recently returned from World War II. You will need to clean up your city as you work different departments inside the force.
We do not have access to a 4K monitor, but even 1080p looks pretty good for a game about six and a half years old. For those who did not finish it originally, this may be your chance. Become a 1947 gumshoe when L.A. Noire releases on November 14th.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
