There’s a new update available today for CD Projekt’s The Witcher 3 on PS4. The new update, version 1.50 and version 1.51 – the latter being a stability patch – brings the long-awaited PS4 Pro support that PS4 Pro owners have been longing for.
The download size for The Witcher 3’s PS4 Pro patch isn’t that big and it comes to just 112MB. Still, if it gets the job done, we’re not going to complain about a small download size.
What we will have a bit of a moan about is the lack of details. The patch notes for 1.50 are barebones and only state “PS4 Pro Support”. There are no details on what the PS4 Pro support entails, though we’re going to hazard a guess at an upped resolution – most likely 4K checkerboard – and a more stable frame rate, both of which would be very welcome.
Funnily enough, it wasn’t that long ago when CD Projekt said that there would not be a PS4 Pro patch released. Funny how these things change, isn’t it?
