Astalon: Tears of the Earth is an 8-bit action-adventure and takes place in a post-apocalyptic desert where three heroes go on a vigilante mission to save their village. They take the plunge to venture the dark depths of a perverse tower. Ultimately, to help ensure their success, one of the protagonists makes a pact with a Titan of Death, Epimetheus, enabling them to reincarnate every time they die until they have completed their mission.
The trailer exposes many elements of the game. It reveals the ability to actively switch between Arias the Fighter, Kyuli the Rogue and Algus the Wizard, with their unique talents and weaponry on full display. It also unveils several striking dungeon rooms, with many environmental obstacles like swinging ball chains and soaring fireballs to evade, along with many monstrous creatures and ferocious bosses to take down.
Here is a nice bonus fact for all you manga fans out there, the original character designs are by Ryusuke Mita, the manga artist responsible for the well-known Manga series Dragon Half.
