Action-RPG The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is Coming Soon on PS4 and PS4 Pro

Neocore Games have confirmed that their previously P.C. only title is set to come to PS4 and PS Pro soon. We’ve included a trailer for the upcoming port of the well-received Action RPG (think Diablo), verbosely titled ‘The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing’, above. In the interest of full disclosure; the above trailer is actually for the Xbox One version of the game, so don’t watch if Microsoft logos offend your eyes, but we think it’s safe to assume the quality will be similar to the PS4 version. No firm release date has yet been given, but we’ve contacted the developer for further comment and will update you as soon as we know more. ‘Stake’ your claim (see what we did there… sorry) and read on below for everything we know so far.

A-RPG games are few and far between for us console gamers; apart from the notable exception of Diablo III and the Reaper of Souls expansion, us slaves to the cycle of smashing and looting can be excused for feeling a little neglected. That’s one reason why we at Pure PlayStation are happy to see Neocore Games bringing their well-received franchise to the PS4 and PS4 Pro.

The developer describes their game as “an Action-RPG set in a gothic-steampunk world filled with monsters, weird science, humor and pop-cultural references.” and it has been described in its PC format as having a ‘significant amount of content, entertainment value’ and being ‘a game that will eat away hours with an endless supply of quests, monsters to kill and items to loot’ (comments by Gaming Nexus)

The team at Neocore have confirmed that the PS4 version will have its own Platinum trophy to obtain as well as higher resolution visuals, and the PS4 Pro version will boast even higher resolution looks and a smoother frame rate. We’re going to just go ahead and assume that more is better. There’s much more information available about the PC releases in the series here, but little else is known about what else, if anything, we can expect from the PS4 edition. We’ve approached the developer for additional comments on the release window, content on offer when the game is released, and more, and of course we will keep you updated as soon as we hear back.
