Activision knows that it has the gaming world by the balls at this moment in time. After the massive success of Crash Bandicoot’s return and the Call of Duty 4 remaster, players are chomping at the bit for more golden oldies to get released on PS4. The recent Spyro rumours sent us into meltdown, and now there’s word that Activision will be bringing Modern Warfare 2 to PS4, too. Needless to say, there’s a lot of hype for a whole lot of nothing.
Activision has, however, hinted that something will be announced later this month. The publisher will be holding weekly Twitch streams from here on out, and there will be an announcement in March. That being said, we can’t be sure what it will be. Activision’s Kevin Kelly teased that it could be Call of Duty related, or it could be something completely different. He wouldn’t give an exact answer and he has remained coy ever since. Swine.
The good news is that March is very nearly over, so whatever will be announced will come to light this weekend. We’re begging, praying, and hoping for a Spyro remaster, but c’mon, what are the chances? We’ll probably get the announcement that Activision will be… announcing something at E3. That’d be one way to keep us frothing like dogs.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
