Vertigo Games, the development house behind the hit VR-zombie shooter Arizona Sunshine, has announced today that it will be bringing its next game, After The Fall, to PSVR in early 2020.
Originally announced for PC virtual reality platforms, the Dutch developer has confirmed today that the game will also release on Sony’s PlayStation VR headset in 2020, though an exact release date is yet to be decided.
According to the press release, After The Fall is a zombie shooter set in Los Angeles during the 80s. The world has gone to shit due to experiments on designer drugs gone wrong. Well if it was going to happen somewhere, it would definitely be the home of Hollywood.
The resulting fallout has led to a new ice age and zombies, er, actually, they’re called ‘Snowbreed’ creatures. For the sake of brevity, we’ll just refer to them as zombies. They’re not alive, they run like crazy, and you’ve got free license to shoot them in the balls. That’s about as zombie as you can get.
After the Fall will offer both single-player and multiplayer gameplay, with the latter being described as a “seamless” multiplayer experience built from the ground up for VR. The game has a “shared-world” with RPG elements that encourages player to scavenge and explore the city ruins to find whatever bits of crap they think might come in handy against the zombies.
It sounds pretty good, but don’t take my word for it – watch the new trailer up above.
