If you were going to pick up AI: The Somnium Files in physical form, you’re going to have to wait a little longer. The original release date was September 17, and the new release date is September 24. Compared to most delays, a week isn’t bad, and the new date is being attributed to “increased demand and manufacturing delays”. This does also apply to the special editions of the game. If you cannot wait to dive into the adventure, it will still be available to purchase digitally on the original release date of September 17.
The game follows detective Kaname Date after a dead woman’s body is found on a merry-go-round. He knows her, and he knows the young girl found inside the amusement park ride who is still clutching the bloody murder weapon. You will need to find clues, interrogate suspects and enter their minds, and track down the killer in a story from Kotaro Uchikoshi, the creator of the Zero Escape series.
It’s a cool concept, and we’ll be bringing you our full review of this interesting title as soon as it is available.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
