It has recently been announced that the US Army has entered open beta with the free America’s Army: Proving Grounds on PlayStation 4.
The arrival of the innovative America’s Army: Proving Grounds on the latest generation of consoles marks the 15th anniversary of the game.
The America’s Army series aims to use innovative technology to provide a real experience of a US Army Soldier.
AA:PG brings together the best of the previous America’s Army games by resembling real world army training and using small-unit tactical manoeuvres.
There’s realistic equipment and hardware and training exercises which teach players how to work as a team. There’s the ability to apply medical aid to maintain their own health and stay in the game and to stop bleeding. Players are also able to assist downed squad mates and bring them back into the fight.
There are lots of features including customisation including the camo pattern of teams and the ability to unlock weapon skins on their weapons and acquire new optics.
The game was initially released on PC in beta back in August 2013. There have since been over 1.3 million player accounts and 935 years of play time.
America’s Army: Proving Grounds can now be downloaded for free via PlayStation Store.
