In case you’ve forgotten, Amnesia: Rebirth is releasing October 20th. This scary game has flown a little under the radar, and that’s on purpose. The PlayStation Underground team posted a 17-minute trailer talking with the developers about parts of the game and the secrecy was confirmed. The developers want players to enter the game without knowing much, so they can experience every drop of terror.
I skipped around to avoid spoilers, but here are a few extra tidbits of info. Managing your fear will be a big part of the game. If you don’t, your “illness” will spread, putting someone else’s life in danger. That may be challenging considering some of the scary things in this chunk of gameplay.
Beyond sanity, light is also a scarce resource. We can see the use of matches to light torches and a dim lantern to give you a vague idea of what’s ahead. For those who like to be kept on the edge of their seats, Amnesia: Rebirth might be perfect.
Check out the gameplay trailer if you don’t mind a little info and want a better look at the game. You only have five days until it releases.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
