Those of you wishing for more Angry Birds VR goodness without any extra cost, listen up! Resolution Games has announced that it will soon be releasing a level editor for Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs on PSVR and other VR platforms. Wonderful news, right?
“We have been working on this level builder technology for some time and are very excited to have it make its debut in Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs,” said Tommy Palm, CEO and co-founder of Resolution Games. “With our upcoming release, players will have the power to show their creativity in ways we could never imagine. We can’t wait to see what the fans come up with!”
The level editor will be a sandbox-style map where you’ll be able to make your own levels before passing the headset to a friend or family member for them to try out. The level editor will go live this holiday season, though there’s no exact date just yet. Also, the level editor will only be available for local play to begin with, though Resolution Games has stated that there will be an update early next year to bring everything online, meaning you’ll be able to share your levels with others as well as try out the challenges set by other players.
I really enjoyed Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs on PSVR, but I didn’t really see much reason to go back to it once I’d finished the game. With the level editor coming I’ll be sure to strap my headset back on soon, and I’ll definitely be seeing what other players can create once the online functionality has been added to the game. It’s basically endless levels for nothing. What’s not to like?
