Remember Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs for PSVR? It was the first proper foray into virtual reality for those moody birds, and I rather enjoyed it. If you did, too, then it’s time to get your headset ready for another round of flinging birds at pigs as the developers, Resolution Games, have released a whole bunch of new levels for the game – for free! The new update is available for PSVR, and various PC virtual reality headsets.
“When the game initially launched earlier this year, we focused on delivering the best possible VR game that would do Angry Birds the justice the franchise deserves,” said Tommy Palm, CEO and co-founder of Resolution Games. “And now, we’re happy to share the latest update that takes fans through even more levels in the game’s Spooky Mode.”
The 13 new levels are part of the “Creepy Climb” pack, and they include a new boss pig called Dr. Frankenswine. These levels require more thinking and puzzle solving abilities, as well as lightning and rain to really get the spooky atmosphere going.
That’s not all. In addition to “Creepy Climb”, PSVR players also get access to the original 13 Spooky Levels called “Maliboo Beach” that were previously only available on PC virtual reality platforms. So that’s 26 new levels in total. For free. That’s madness and great value for money.
The update is out now and if it’s now already downloading, just select the game’s icon, press the ‘options’ button and then select ‘check for update’ to force the download to your PS4. And if you don’t own the game, shame on you. Go and read my Angry Birds VR review and then make your mind up. Tenner says you’ll be sold on it!
