New skins, emotes, and a brand new playable hero, Seer.
Most excitingly, Emergence will introduce the newest legend Seer to the roster. Sporting a slick character design and described as having an “artists’ eye” Seer has plenty of abilities that will give him an edge in combat. Heartbeat Seeker is his passive ability that allows him to visualise the heartbeats of nearby enemies to get an idea of their location.
Seer’s addition brings the active roster of legends to more than double the initial 8 that were available at launch which really shows how much Apex has expanded and improved since initially launching in 2019.
World’s Edge has also gone under a substantial metamorphosis for the first time since Season 6. The environment has been pushed to the limit and players will have to traverse the fractured landscape to gain control of gondolas in Climatizer and Lava Siphon, the newest points of interest available.
Emergence will also add the Rampage LMG as a high-ammo option and is tailored for mid-range combat. A new game mode is also being added in ranked arenas, along with a further arena map rotation which will add three new POI’s that will rotate throughout the season: Hillside, Dome and Oasis.
New skins are also available giving you the chance to take to the skies as Valkyrie in her “Aeriel Evolution” skin and you can give Horizon a shiny new look with the “Biotic Luminary” skin. There are also plenty of new quips, banners, emotes, and much more that players will have access to in Emergence. It’s also worth wrapping up any outstanding challenges from season 9 for cosmetic rewards before they’re gone forever if you care about that sort of thing.
Apex Legends: Emergence launches tomorrow August 3rd on PS4/PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
