It’s not an April Fool’s joke – this month’s PS Plus is actually amazing with two top-tier games and a brand new release.
PlayStation Plus has been a bit hit and miss since… well, 2014? This month, though, is certifiably brilliant – providing you don’t already own the games being offered. I do, but I’m still happy to see a decent PS Plus lineup!
PS Plus April 2021’s free games are headlined by the brand new Oddworld: Soulstorm, which is a re-imagining of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus and a follow up to Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty. However, this freebie is only for PS5 players, so if you’re on PS4, you’ll have to buy the game.

Then we have Days Gone, the open-world post-apocalyptic zombie game from Bend Studio. This is a fantastic freebie and if you haven’t already played it, you’re in for a treat. If you’re on PS5, you’ll get the enhanced version with the next-gen upgrades that kick the game up to 60FPS with improved visuals. Don’t sit on this one, folks.
And lastly, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, the fourth in the Sniper Elite zombie spin-off series. It’s silly fun and even better if you can buddy up with some mates and play online.
And that’s your lot. See, not a bad month at all! Shame that there are no PSVR games this month, but I think we can all overlook that on this occasion.
