Games are continuing to move to movies and TV, and we think you might be interested in hearing about the next incarnation of the very popular Assassin’s Creed series.
With the Castlevania animated series set to release on Netflix on July 7th, the producer, Adi Shankar, has revealed he will be sticking to gaming properties for his next project. On his Facebook page, he announced he will be working on an anime version of Assassin’s Creed “and create an original story set in it as an anime series”.
With thousands of years of history as a backdrop, the story could be set in one or multiple time frames. There is no mention of a release date, but we would not bet on seeing anything before 2019.
I guess we will just have to be contented with Assassin’s Creed Origins for now.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
