Ubisoft has announced that its upcoming Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has officially gone gold. What does that mean? It means the master disc for the final game has been created and every other copy of the game will be born from this disc. Ah, the circle of life.
It also means that there is zero chance of the game being delayed, unless something catastrophic happens whereby the disc manufacturers can’t print the game. So, unless one of the many Gods decides otherwise, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be in the hands of gamers on October 5th.
Actually, if you pre-order the deluxe editions of the game, you’ll be able to play a few days earlier on October 2nd. If you’re opting for the regular digital or physical editions, you’ll be playing on October 5th.
You pre-order the digital editions of the game via the PlayStation Store, or you can go via Amazon to pick up a physical copy. I much prefer the latter as the game’s box can be thrown at anybody that dares to interrupt the precious gaming time I have.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
