Ubisoft has announced today that Shay’s adventures in Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be released on PS4 later this year, and to drum up a bit of hype around the game the publisher has also released a new trailer.
According to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered will bring better graphical effects and higher resolutions across all consoles. So if you’re playing on a base or Slim PS4, you’ll get 1080p, while PS4 Pro owners will be able to play at 4K, or some variation of it with all that checkerboarding business.
While Rogue isn’t a bad game by any stretch, it does strike us as a little odd that after porting Ezio’s trilogy to the PS4, Ubisoft would then jump to Rogue instead of one of the other games that has yet to be remastered. Still, we’re not complaining and we’re guess there will be many who ignored Rogue’s PS3 release in favour of Unity on PS4.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered will release on March 20th.
