Ubisoft has the details on its day one patch ready for any Vikings preparing to take Assassin’s Creed Valhalla soon. Taken from the official site, title update 1.02 will bring these benefits:
- Fine-tuned the balancing of the game
- Addressed various quest-related nuisances
- Improved performance and stability
- Miscellaneous bug fixes
It adds some content too. There are more localized language packs, and you can click here to see all the supported languages. It also adds a Codex comprised of a database and tutorials. The database gives you info about the lands you’ll visit and people you’ll meet (and potentially kill) in the game. It’s a nice presentation, and you can see a screenshot at the bottom. The tutorials will help you figure out the game’s mechanics and systems. This will come in handy as a refresher for anything you have already learned and forgotten just like actual school.
The game is running around 45GB on the PS4 and PS5, and you can start pre-loading the game on your PS4 at 12:01 AM on November 8th. If you want to earn your place in Valhalla, your full Viking journey begins on November 10th.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
