Ubisoft had promised us a patch for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla sometime in the near future. Well, that near future is sooner than we’d thought because the update is apparently due this week. The news will come as a relief to many gamers who have struggled to get into the Viking groove, given all of its faults. But the biggest question is whether it will fix the free upgrade problem that’s affecting some PlayStation 4 disc owners. And that’s not something I can answer at the moment.
That’s because there has been no official patch notes released as of yet. Nor have the development team outlined its content. Instead, we have simply been told to expect the update this week and to stay tuned for more detail.

But let’s not pretend that’s the only problem with the game – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla would have impressed critics immensely, had they not had to fill their reviews with some rather unnerving and unsightly bugs (I’m talking dead women running for the hills and little boys being giants amongst the men). So, there are probably 101 other things we would also like to be fixed by this next update. The problem is, I don’t think it’s going to be able to solve them all.
It’s not a miracle worker after all!
Still, as long as it saves the upgrade folk from having to buy it again, that will be something. So, fingers crossed it does that at least; we’ll bring you the patch notes as and when they go live.
Hey Rey, we’ll be deploying a new title update sometime this week. Stay tuned for more details very soon.
