Assetto Corsa Next-Gen Update Coming February 24th, 2022

505 Games has announced that Assetto Corsa Competizione will be getting a next-gen release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on February 24th, 2022. Wow. February 2022 is going to be a really busy month, isn’t it?

The next-gen version of Assetto Corsa with hit PS5 and Xbox Series X|S next year as a full release, but if you already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you won’t need to buy the game again.

Assetto Corsa for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be offered as a free upgrade for owners of the original game, which is great.

What’s in the next-gen version of Assetto Corsa?

The next-gen version will include 60fps gameplay – it’s 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One – as well as 4K visuals. You’ll also get the free 2021 liveries update and there’s a new feature coming to multiplayer modes: private lobbies. Your save data and any DLC that you’ve bought for the game will also be compatible with the next-gen editions, which is great news if you’ve invested heavily in Assetto Corsa.
