Every month, we play the game of whether the PS Plus membership is still worth it for the games alone. Since that’s a personal choice, the next two games are ready for your consideration. In August, we will be playing the Wipeout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4. The Wipeout Omega Collection (review) combines a lot of high speed, futuristic racing in Wipeout 2048, Wipeout HD, and the HD Fury expansion. There are 26 white knuckle tracks, eight player online multiplayer, and two player offline racing at home. All tracks will be playable in PSVR, and, at one time, we thought it was one of the best looking PSVR games.
Sniper Elite 4 (review) is the second game. This one puts you behind enemy lines and makes you a thorn in the Axis’ side. The big levels will give you plenty of opportunity to deliver a final blow with your rifle, but you can use traps, bombs, and melee combat to help the war effort. You can join friends in online co-op or compete against up to twelve players.
Both games will not be available until August 6th, but you should claim Horizon Chase Turbo and Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition by August 5th.
Did this month meet your expectations? Are you happy, sad, or just don’t care? Let us know in the comments.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
