A new drama is coming to the PSVR on February 26th. Fate/Grand Order VR takes two scenarios and puts you inside the world. The first features the character Mash Kyrielight. She is a demi-servant in the Fate universe, and she is looking for help with her training. Whatever you have her help you with in the privacy of your own home is your own business.
The second scenario is one in which you spend a nice relaxing day with Altria Pendragon, also known as King Arthur. The getaway house is peaceful with an ornate fountain outside. Everything seems like it’s going well until you are attacked. Then, you have to raise your command spells and watch her fight with the dexterity and strength only a Servant can muster.
The drama is sourced from the Fate/Grand Order mobile game. I haven’t played the game, but, as a fan of the Fate anime, I’m still not sure you have to be overly familiar with the source material to quickly understand what’s happening. You are a mage (a Master) who controls Servants, the embodiment of powerful past warriors. Those Servants fight for you in the Holy Grail War to obtain a magic item that will grant any wish. Based on the trailer, you are more than up to speed now.
I am going to embed the trailers for Mash Kyrielight and Altria Pendragon to give you a full look at what you can expect when Fate/Grand Order VR releases on February 26th. It’s free by the way, so mark your calendars.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
