The only thing better than being a regular samurai is being a robotic samurai revived with advanced hardware to take out robot invaders. That’s the general premise of Reborn: A Samurai Awakens, and it released on the PlayStation Store today. We told you about this one back in the simpler times of 2017 when we expected to be playing it then.
So, how does this samurai fight? He uses a samurai’s traditional weapons such as lightsabers and guns to destroy and slice up enemies. The trailer shows you reflecting blasts back at a flying robot, slicing incoming projectiles apart, and generally looking awesome. We also see you dual-wielding George Lucas’ elegant weapons and blocking hits to create a time warp “that kills the enemy with samurai power”. Your goal is to get inside their base, and you will be able to customize your weapons and skills as you cut through regular and boss enemies alike.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
