After the backlash from fans over the endgame in Destiny 2, and the underwhelming pre-release footage of the Curse of Osiris expansion, Bungie is making changes to try to turn those frowns upside down.
The studio is following in tradition and are releasing a gigantic update alongside the expansion.
In the words of Luke Smith, Game Director of Destiny 2, we should expect the following changes: “economy updates (vendors & acquiring their gear, tokens, legendary shards), investment updates (new reward systems for weapons & armor) gameplay updates, and more.” Oh, boy, do we love more!
As of yet, that is all we know. We anticipate further details shortly, possibly during Bungie’s next live stream on November 29th. But no matter when it happens, near or far, we here at Pure PlayStation will have you covered. As soon as anything leaves the horse’s mouth, or bird’s mouth so to speak, we’ll be sure to let you know. Until then we can only hope that Destiny 2 and its shortcomings will benefit from this next patch.
In all seriousness, it seems that Bungie has taken note of all of the criticisms and are determined to improve players’ experience in their out of this world shooter. Though his quote is vague, it does suggest that no avenue is left untouched and that the whole game has been put under scrutiny. We can only wait and see. After all, the proof is in the pudding. And with Christmas only around the corner, it’s going to have to be a pretty special pudding.
Are you still giving Destiny 2 the time of day? Or are you still longing for the adoration you felt for the first, which is currently underserved by the second? Comment below, and let us know what Bungie could include in the patch that will get you back into the game.
