BoxVR Gets a Big Update Bringing New Workouts and Tracks to PSVR

Christmas has come early for BoxVR fans, as the developer behind the workout game has released a brand new update that brings a whole host of new content – for free!

The new update adds 12 new workouts and over 40 new tracks to duck and weave along to. The new features have come around from community suggestions, and the developers have taken on-board what fans have been saying since the game’s release earlier this year. Notably, the new tracks include music from a range of genres, including 80’s tunes, rock, and heavy metal. No Mr Brightside, though. Bah, humbug!

“BoxVR has made a powerful impact in Virtual Reality, expanding the horizons of the industry far beyond what many may have anticipated from the hardware. We have proven that not only is there a dedicated and vast community of players who are passionate about alternative fitness, but that VR’s potential is endless.” said Sameer Baroova, Co-founder of FitXR. “We are extremely excited to be working directly with the community and enhancing the core experience with new content, and we are eager to see how our players engage and train with it.”

BoxVR released earlier this year on PSVR to decent reviews. Our 9.2/10 review by Jeremy Peterson, was particularly positive, with Jez saying “it’s a damn good workout and, even better, its a lot of fun to play. If you’re interested in any of the three genres BOXVR dabbles in, I suggest you pick this one up as soon as you can.”
