After the public break up between Activision and Bungie, where Bungie staff apparently popped champagne upon hearing the news, there’s been plenty of speculation around Destiny. Would it continue business as usual, or would it slowly start to fade away as Bungie settles into a life of independence.
The answer seems to be more of the former instead of the latter, thankfully. Luke Smith, franchise director of Destiny, recently took to the Bungie blog to settle the ongoing speculation, stating that “long-term, Bungie is committed to Destiny. We created the universe and we hold its future entirely in our hands. The vast majority of the team is hard at work envisioning future experiences, enemies, and ways to play the Guardian you’ve been building since 2014. We’re going to keep doing that.”
He goes on to say that it was a busy Fall for the studio and that it’s now going to be a busy year. The studio will be carrying on development this year as it aims to stick to the roadmap that was announced long before the split with Activision. Best of luck to them, I say.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
