A bunch of dataminers have been “perusing” the files of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and have uncovered a nugget of information. That being, there is reference to a beta for the upcoming shooter – specifically for the Battle Royale feature. They have then put two and two together (read ‘ remembered Sony’s affiliation with the series’) and have presumed the PlayStation 4 will be the platform of choice for said demo.
But are they getting a little ahead of themselves – we’re yet to hear confirmation of any pre order bonuses, after all.
Elsewhere, further Cold War goodies have been revealed. For instance, certain editions of the game will come packaged with a ‘Woods Operator Pack’, which will apparently make the previously introduced Frank Woods a playable avatar in both Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone. And a season pass will be available within the so called ‘Battle Pass’, opening up a season’s worth of content to the holder.
Finally, a “Confrontation Weapons Pack” and “Land, Sea and Air Pack” finalise the offering. Although, these two additions could comprise of many things owing to their generic titles (and there were no clues within the files, or at least none that were released). So, I won’t try to turn into Mystic Meg and make an educated guess. If you want to make a prediction, though, feel free in the comments box – it shouldn’t be long until we find out if you’re right!
