We all expected this, didn’t we? Ever since Sony and Activision partnered up and bagged PlayStation players exclusive bonuses and access to DLC a month before other players, we’ve kind of known that every announcement would have the words ‘first on PS4’ somewhere.
We weren’t wrong either, as the latest announcement from Activision confirms that Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will have a beta on October 14th for all the PS4 players that pre-order the game. Yes, they’re locking this beta behind a pre-order, though we’d bet a tenner that the beta will be open to all after a few days – it’s what happened with Black Ops III after all.
Infinity Ward and Activision are keeping tight-lipped on what will be in the beta, but we expect more will be announced closer to the time. Obviously Pure PlayStation will be in this beta to fight the good fight and keep you, the readers, informed on if the game is actually any good, so be sure to check in for our preview soon.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
