Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PS4 will be shipping with three game modes on release; the single-player Campaign, the series’ famous Multiplayer suite and Spec Ops. The latter is a new addition, and although it was previously incorporated into Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, this time things are different with a survival element being thrown in.
For one, it’s coming first to PS4, and there will be exclusive to Sony’s platform for a full year. That’s not great news for our Xbox and PC brethren.
Special Ops Survival will let you and up to three of your mates hold out against waves of enemies across three of the game’s multiplayer maps. Each wave is more difficult than the last, so it should keep groups of mates going for a good while. There’s no zombies this time around, but Spec Ops Survival should scratch that co-op itch.
Activision and Infinity Ward have released a brand new trailer today giving us a very short glimpse of the game mode in action. It’s only 30-seconds long, but it’s got me excited all the same. Most of my exciting moments only last 30 seconds anyway… Too much info, Chris. Too much info…
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
