Some hotels are easier to leave than others. In the rogue-like (appears to be -like, not -lite) Skyhill, it will kill you. The setup is as simple as it needs to be. You come to a big city and occupy the VIP penthouse at Skyhill. While you are enjoying your stay, the apocalypse happens. It’s a good news/bad news situation. The good news is that you won’t have to pay for that extravagant room. The bad news is that you have to scavenge for food and fight monsters as you descend to escape.
It looks like Skyhill released on PC about three years ago. Lucky for the developers, rogues, light and like alike, are evergreen games. With it’s randomly generated maps, turn based combat, and RPG elements, this may be one to add to your collection.
Skyhill will be available on October 24th.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
