We knew it was only a matter of time, but still, it’s a nice surprise isn’t it? Activision and Toys for Bob have announced today that they’ll be releasing a brand new Crash Bandicoot game later this year, and it’s called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.
The game will pick up where the original trilogy left off, and the developer will be using the expertise it acquired with the Crash Bandicoot remake trilogy that released a while back on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
For the fourth outing (not really the fourth…) Crash Bandicoot will once again be joined by Coco, who will be a playable character once more.
The usual Crash Bandicoot tropes are all expected, with new Quantum Masks that give Crash and Coco super cool new abilities, which you can see in the trailer that’s embedded up above.
According to the PlayStation Blog, the Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will have dozens of levels, so fingers crossed it’s worth the $60 asking price!
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will release on October 2nd, 2020, for PS4 and Xbox One, with support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Strangely, there’s no mention of a PC or Switch version, but maybe they’ll come at a later date.
