Perception is not just another horror/adventure title. You’ll play as a young lady named Cassie, and you’ve been suffering chronic nightmares that lead to an abandoned mansion in Massachusetts. Pretty typical horror fare up to this point, but The good folks at Deep End Games have come up with an interesting twist. Cassie, the game’s protagonist is blind. She must solve this mystery with only her extra-sensitive hearing and her ability to use echolocation. Each tap of the cane around the haunted New England mansion, creates a visual, but there is something lurking and it gets closer with each sound you make.
The individuals who make up the team at Deep End Games have an impressive pedigree of past titles, including the Bioshock series and Dead Space. With that type of experience and the unique premise of Perception, this looks like a no-brainer purchase for gamers looking for some psychological horror. The game drops 5-30-2017. Check out the trailer above for a little taste of the terror.
