Criterion’s Open-World Land, Sea, and Air Game Has Bitten the Dust

A couple of years ago during what was a forgettable E3, Criterion teased a new game that would take players to their limits in an open-world setting that promised races in the air, on the water, and on the road.

It was an interesting tease from the studio but it’s been ever so quiet about the game in recent years. Turns out that there’s a good reason for that: the studio has abandoned the project and is instead working on new ideas, as well as completing work on the Star Wars X-Wing Experience for the PlayStation VR.

Gamespot received word from an EA spokesperson that confirmed the studio is now working on other projects. It looked like a promising title but as is common in this industry, things just get cancelled.
