The SNES-inspired RPG CrossCode will be receiving DLC this week.
The DLC, which is heading to consoles later this week, is already available on PC, but now console users will get the chance to jump into the action. The DLC named ‘A New Home’ takes place after the events in the original game’s storyline, where it will follow the antics of silent protagonist Lea and other supporting characters.
The content will have the biggest dungeon to battle through so far, called Ku’lero Temple, along with a brand-new area to explore called Azure Archipelago. As you might expect from the main game, the new DLC will consist of challenging puzzles and brain teasers to overcome. But that’s not all, as there will be new equipment upgrades, which will undoubtedly come in handy because there will be new enemies and bosses to defeat. In total, the new DLC content should approximately take 8-10 hours to complete.
Radical Fish Games recently dropped a free PS5 upgrade for CrossCode. Unfortunately, you can’t transfer your saved files between consoles, meaning you’ll have to start your adventure again from scratch if you want to experience this great game on the PS5.
If you’re going to purchase CrossCode on the PlayStation Store, it will cost £15.99/$19.99. However, the new DLC ‘A New Home’ has not yet been priced for the PlayStation Store, although over on Steam, the DLC package costs $8.99, so expect something around that price range when it releases later this week.
