Dangan TV 3rd Period Discusses Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
As part of the ten-year anniversary celebration for Danganronpa, Spike Chunsoft has been releasing monthly episodes of Dangan TV. They provide a historical perspective on the games from the people who made them. The latest edition focuses on Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. The guests are Aya Uchida, the voice of Komaru Naegi, Yoshinori Terasawa, the series producer, and Shun Sasaki, the game’s planner. It’s almost an hour long, and it’s sure to give you the inside scoop on the development.
It’s not fresh off the presses though. This episode originally aired on July 16th, but you would have had to understand Japanese to watch it then. It’s still nice to have the subtitles, and I wish more companies would dive into the development and history of past games.
I haven’t watched the entire show, but it seems like we would have heard about a new game by now if it was mentioned. I’ll keep saying it until Spike Chunsoft proves me wrong, but it would be a real disappointment if no new game was announced at the end of this series.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
