Danganronpa Livestream Talks Series History and New Info Next Month

As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Danganronpa fans can look forward to a new monthly livestream as part of the celebration around the series turning ten. The first entry is titled “Dangan TV – Hope Keeps On Going”, and you can catch it on May 21st at 9pm JST / 5am PDT. The host will be Megumo Ogata, the voice of Makoto Naegi in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Nagito Komaeda in Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair. Other guests will join, and they’ll talk about the series with new info. Whether that means cool insights into the development or a potential peek at something new is still shrouded in mystery.

If you want to catch the streams, it’s a good news / bad news situation. The good is that you can watch them live on Periscope or the Danganronpa Twitter account. If you miss it, you can watch the stream on Spike Chunsoft’s YouTube channel. The bad is open to interpretation (literally), because the streams will be in Japanese. I’ve reached out to see if those of us who badly want to speak Japanese but don’t will have subtitles when it hits YouTube, and I’ll update this post when I receive an answer. Either way, the info will come out eventually, and it’s great to see any attention paid to an amazing series.

Even if you don’t speak Japanese, you can submit a comment for them to read on the stream. Keep checking the Danganronpa Twitter account with Google translate close behind, and the instructions will be posted soon. While you are there, you can check out the meeting background images with scenes from the game. Not all of them will be safe for use at work, but everyone’s using Zoom meetings for everything these days.

With the first stream a month from today, what do you think we’ll see?
