Before we go anywhere let’s address the name that Nordic Games has given their remaster: ‘Darksiders Warmastered’. Well… put quite frankly, we love it. Yes, it’s cheesy but after Darksiders II Deathinitive edition they really couldn’t have just called this a remaster.
That aside, the 2010 Darksiders was an epic action RPG game and it’s nice to see it being
remastered Warmastered for the PS4. You play as ‘War’ one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and that right there is convincement enough for most RPG fans to at least give it a shot. Check out a screenshot from the upcoming remaster below.
This October you will be able to enjoy the game all over again or even for the first time in glorious 1080p at 60fps on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game will also release on the Wii U but only at 30fps, however, it will maintain the 1080p. Technical details of the rework are pretty standard: improved textures, shadows, rendering, post processing effects, etc. You can check out the official announcement here.
From October 25th you will be able to grab a copy of Darksiders Warmastered Edition for the agreeable price of just £15. It’s refreshing to see a remaster not selling for the price of a full AAA game. A fantastic game at a budget price is not something to overlook.
