An update for the newly released Days Gone has gone live, bringing with it a plethora of fixes.
The game launched with quite the storm, and we’re not talking freakers. But along with the vast publicity, the consensus of which we’ll let you decide, and scores of the undead, the game also had a few teething troubles. However, the newly released patch is intended to fix those gripes.
The majority of the TLC is targeted at common pitfalls – frame rates, missing audio and crashes, for example. But the minute patch – 130-ish mb! – does pack quite more of a punch than you’d expect as it promises a solution to the issue with streamed assets. Let’s just hope they don’t come back with a vengeance!
Whether that covers everything is yet to be seen, though; these open world projects tend to have a few “issues” so expect another patch soon. It is a quick response to initial problems by the studio, however, which bodes well for the future.
And there’s the promise of DLC in June, which has got us fighting to survive that long, at least.
In the meantime, find out our full thoughts here.
