If you are looking for another reason to avoid your backlog this weekend, Dead or Alive 6 is hosting an online beta. While you setup that download, you should know that it will start on Jan 11th and run until 6:59 a.m. PST on January 14th. As you might have guessed, it will include only the Online Versus mode in the beta, and, as usual, there are some features of the game that may be limited or missing from the beta. When you start the game, it will also let you know that technical problems could happen, so be prepared for that.
The stages and characters are also limited. There will also only be one stage – the DOA Colosseum. There are exploding ropes, so that’s something for you to enjoy. Fortunately, your character choices are a bit more varied. You will have access to Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, Hayabusa, and the new Diego. One more limitation is that this is only for PS Plus subscribers. Sorry, guys. Only paying customers can play online.
If you find a problem in the game or you just want to share your feedback with the developer, you can head over to the game’s official site and fill out the survey to make yourself heard.
If you want more Dead or Alive 6, the game releases on March 1st, so start polishing those combos this weekend, and check out the new trailer released today.
Press Release from Koei Tecmo
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
