We now know what games will be free in less than a week. December’s PS Plus offerings will technically include three games on the PS4. Depending on your preferences, Onrush may be the big name title this week. It is a racer that pushes you to not finish first but to eliminate your competition, perform stunts, and go fast. You can check out the details in Kyle’s review here. He liked it, and making it free will probably do a lot to build a community of players for it.
The second game is also a standout title. Soma is an atmospheric, sci-fi game in which you interact with other machines who think they are human to unravel a mystery. It’s from the same people who made Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and some will argue this is the premiere title for the month.
Iconoclasts is the final game on the PS4. Although technically a PS Vita title, the magic of cross-buy brings it to both. It is a 2D action game which puts you in the shoes of Robin the mechanic as she tries to fix her world.
The rest of the games are listed at the bottom, but I do want to mention Steins;Gate on the PS3. Although it’s cool that this was included, the remade Steins;Gate Elite is coming to the PS4 on February 19th with scenes from the anime and thirty hours of extra content in Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram. I’m not saying don’t play the free one, but I thought I would let you know. El Psy Congroo.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
