If you like your games to be disc-less, you’re going to be gaining a few extra pieces of DLC when you digitally pre-order Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout. There are two versions to pre-order, so let’s start with the regular version. It will run you MSRP ($59.99 USD), and you will receive the Atelier Ryza Bonus Pre-order theme at checkout. You will also gain the Divertimento’s Embrace outfit for Ryza. The PlayStation Store says the outfit might be free DLC later, and the trailer says it will be free later. Make your pre-order decision accordingly.
You’ll have to pay more, but the Digital Deluxe Edition has a lot more DLC. For $71.99 USD, you receive the game, the theme, and the outfit, but you’ll also receive the following:
– Costume Set ‘Another Fashion’
– Costume Set ‘Summer Style’
– Hideout Parts ‘Pixie Forest’
– Hideout Parts ‘Lakeside Hideout’
– Initial Dash Item Set
– Extra Large! Rebuild Gem Pack
There’s some interesting things here. The two costume sets will add more than 15 new bits of clothing. It includes outfits such as the Tao’s Island Explorer Gear and Lent’s Gothic Wolf. The Hideout Parts are good for customizing your secret hideout. The items in your hideout are decorative, but they will also impact your character’s stats and abilities. One of these items will give your characters a boost when it’s raining. They’ll be fashion-forward and functional while saving the world. The last two items will give you a boost at the beginning of the game. The Dash Item Set will give you wind shoes to speed up your item gathering and a bigger knapsack to hold more items. The Gem Pack will give you 100,000 gems to jump-start your rebuilding.
You don’t have to pre-order to get something for free. If you buy the game before November 12, you can receive Ryza’s Summer Adventure costume. It’s nice to receive some free DLC just for buying the game.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout is releasing October 29, and it tells the story of Ryza, a girl living in a boring small town with the desire for adventure. She and her friends discover a doorway to another world and a threat to their own. Using the power of synthesis, they will create new doors into other worlds, collect new items, unlock new recipes, and make new friends on their journey to save the world.
Check out the trailer for a look at Divertimento’s Embrace in the game, and prepare to take your first step into another world at the end of next month.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
