DIRT 5 Gets First PS5 Gameplay, Tech Director Says DualSense is an “Industry Gamechanger”
Codemasters has finally released some PS5 footage of the fantastic racer DIRT 5. So far we’ve seen a lot of the game running on current-gen consoles, as well as some Xbox Series X|S footage, but today we’re being treated to some actual PS5 gameplay ahead of DIRT 5’s PS5 release on November 12th, and November 19th.
The video gives us a look at the game running on PS5 hardware as well as some insight into how the team at Codemasters prepared for their first next-gen release, and what players can expect from the exclusive features enabled by the DualSense controller.
David Springate, DIRT 5 Technical Director said: “We’re delighted to finally reveal more details on the PlayStation 5 version of DIRT 5. There are so many enhancements that players will love and they don’t come much bigger than the DualSense Wireless Controller, which is an industry gamechanger.”
DIRT 5 is already available now on current-gen consoles and PC, and from November 10th it’ll be available on Xbox Series X|S, and then the PS5 version releases November 12th and November 19th, depending on which region you call home.
I was given the opportunity to play through DIRT 5 for review duties and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it really is a little taste of next-gen, especially on PS4 Pro.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
