If you were hoping for any news at this year’s E3 from Rockstar Games or any other Take Two company, get ready for a dose of disappointment.
During the latest earnings call Take Two’s President, Karl Slatoff, revealed what Take Two’s plans were for E3 2018. Well, actually, he kind of just put a dampener on it. Instead of giving an optimistic outlook, Slatoff revealed that there will be no new games announced at this year’s E3.
I kind of expected Gearbox’s Borderlands 3 to make an appearance at some point, but it looks like it’s not happening anytime soon. Still, the gaming calendar has expanded over the last decade and E3 is no longer the be-all end-all. There’s Gamescom, the various PAX events, EGX Rezzed, Tokyo Game Show, and even Sony’s, Microsoft’s, and Nintendo’s events that are used to make new announcements. Fingers crossed…
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
