Bethesda is hosting its annual QuakeCon over the next few days, and although the festivities have only just begun, I think it’s fair to say that the rest of it goes downhill from here.
See, Bethesda just announced a sequel to 2016’s DOOM. It’s called DOOM Eternal. I’m not a massive fan of DOOM but… even I have to admit that the gameplay I saw was absolutely awesome in every sense of the word.
At this point in time there’s no official release date nor is there even a release window. All that’s known right now is that it’s called DOOM Eternal and that it’s coming to PS4 at some point in the near future. It’s also getting a release on the Nintendo Switch – impressive stuff indeed, Bethesda.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
