That’s right, sometime this month we’ll be seeing a hefty free update for Doom, bringing you two new game modes. First up is a Deathmatch mode introducing some free-for-all mayhem which we reckon will go down quite nicely with the fans. Doom is chaotic enough already and this will surely only amplify it, not that that’s a bad thing in any way of course. Check out the Deathmatch announcement video above for a little peek at what’s to come.
Also, you will finally have access to private matches as we’re sure many of you have been eager to get into. This includes choosing maps, score limit, time limit, demon power-ups and more.
Finally, there is going to be a Doom livestream tomorrow (13th) at 7pm BST showing off these two new modes plus a little taster of the arcade mode due out sometimes in the future of the game. Arcade will be a competitive addition to the game’s campaign mode and hopefully another good little addition to the game. If you can’t wait for the yet to be announced date the update drops (sometime this month) then be sure to check out the livestream here.

Jake has been boring his friends with PlayStation news and trivia for years now so it’s about time he puts his thoughts and knowledge into words for you lot to appreciate…. hopefully.
