There’s a new extreme sports game coming to PSVR in the near future in the form of DownStream: VR Whitewater Kayaking. It’s a bit of a mouthful…
The game’s developer, Jumpstick, has released an announcement trailer for the game but there’s no sight of PSVR support, at least not in the trailer and other marketing materials. The game will release this spring on PC, though no solid release date has yet to be given. However, the game will also get a release on the PSVR at a later date, as confirmed by the developer on Twitter.
If the title of the game hasn’t already given it away, DownStream: VR Whitewater Kayaking is a game about, well, whitewater kayaking. You’ll throw yourself down viscous rivers at a breakneck pace, all within the safe, warm, and dry confines of your home. Certainly sounds a lot safer than the real deal.
As with the PC release, there’s no solid release date for the PSVR version. I’ll be sure to keep my ear to the ground (and an eye on my inbox) for more information. For now though, we’ve got a trailer embedded up above. Looks decent, just a shame about the choice of music.
