After watching the trailers and developer diaries, Downward Spiral: Horus Station will finally release September 18th. It will allow players to use a PS4 only or PSVR to experience the game. The announced pricing will be $19.99 / €14.99 / £14.99.
Inspired by sci-fi such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, the game puts players on an abandoned ship. You will need to explore and look for clues in zero-g and solve puzzles to determine why the crew is missing. There are no cutscenes or dialog, so the game has been carefully designed to let players put the pieces together for themselves.
Just because the crew is gone, doesn’t mean the ship is empty. Past trailers have revealed corrupted robots still active on board. By utilizing unconventional weapons found on the ship such as bolt throwers and arc welders, you can keep these pests from making the ship your coffin.
For a look at the game, I will put the annoucement trailer at the top. To check out the developer diary and movement in zero-g, check out the trailer at the bottom.
Press Release from 3rd Eye Studios
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
