Dragon Quest Builders 2 Tops 1.1 Million Shipped Units

A lot of people have been enjoying the colorful and blocky world of Dragon Quest Builders 2. Square Enix announced today that more than 1.1 million units of the sequel have shipped or been downloaded globally. To celebrate the good news, there is DLC you can purchase. The Modernist Pack will run you $9.99 for over 70 recipes to make luxurious locales filled with swanky interiors and stylish characters.

The company also released a quick video from “The Builder” to celebrate the milestone. It’s a short and sweet message to the fans that made it possible.

With a Metacritic score of 86 and a user score of 8.1, it’s receiving a lot of praise from critics and gamers alike. If you want to give it a try, there is a demo on PSN that gives you a small part of the beginning. It walks you through the basics of building and combat and stops right before you would be able to skip merrily into an adventure that shapes the world. Yep. It’s a demo.
