Square Enix has announced today that its Minecraft-inspired Dragon Quest Builders will release in the West after all. The game had previously been announced yonks ago for Japan, but today marks the first official announcement of a western release.
The game will release on PS4 and PS Vita this October, though the PS Vita will be missing the physical presence afforded to the PS4. Square Enix stated that while the PS4 version will be available in stores as a physical release, the Vita edition will only be available as a digital download from the PlayStation Network. Shame, really, as the Vita could do with a few more physical releases from big-name publishers – not to mention that our memory cards are literally bursting at the digital seams.
There’s a fancy little announcement trailer down below that was also released today, so go ahead and enjoy the colourful presentation.
Looking forward to this one? Which platform will you play on? PS4 physical or PS Vita digital? Build a comment down below.
