Druckmann Promises The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer Won’t Disappoint

Many had believed we would have heard about the multiplayer update for The Last of Us 2 by now. But that wasn’t to be. However, Neil Druckmann wants to ensure fans that the feature won’t disappoint when it does finally launch – whenever that happens to be. We all just need to be “patient”.

Which, I’m sure you’ll agree, is easier said than done!

This advice was delivered via the vice-president’s personal Twitter account, whereby he also thanked everyone for all of their support. Yet, no further suggestion was made as to how long we’re going to have to wait for the moe. Nor, what form it will finally take. That last statement is made after we were informed over a year ago that it will extend beyond a mere cooperative campaign experience owing to its size. In fact, we were told it had grown tremendously – making it sound like it will sit as an expansion in its own right.

This inevitably fuelled much speculation as to whether it may be released as a game all on its own. Or even if it could be a premium update for existing players. Perhaps even a PlayStation 5 exclusive. But, as you will see in the Tweet below, we’re as much in the dark now as we were back then. So, all I can say is stay tuned to our news channel, because when we hear otherwise you’ll be the first to know.
